50 Cent has been catching major backlash after posting a Instagram video of what he thought was a doped up teenager at an airport, who turned out to be 19 year old airport janitor, Andrew Farrell, who’s autistic and suffers from social anxiety. The stepfather of Andrew Farrell demanded an apology from the G-Unit frontman, which he has made today through NY Post.
50 Cent apologized for the misunderstanding and stated that he had delivered a personal apology to Andrew & his family also.
“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man… It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family.”
There was talk that the family might have had a lawsuit against the rapper but TMZ recently reported that the family is satisfied with 50 Cent’s apology. The video of 50 Cent & Andrew Farrell has recenty been deleted from the 50’s Instagram.
