Baltimore Rapper Lor Scoota Shot Dead At 23

LorScootaAn up & coming rapper hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Tyriece Travon Watson, better known as Lor Scoota, was shot dead on June 25th around 7 PM, after leaving a pray for peace basketball charity event at Morgan State University, he was 23.

Police state the rapper known for his popular track Bird Flu featuring another Maryland rapper, Shy Glizzy, had just left the peace charity event when he was shot while driving his car. The gunman is said to have been a unknown black male who was wearing a white bandanna. Baltimore Times stated the gunman stepped into the intersection then proceeded to shoot several times at the car. Watson was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, there are no motives or suspects identified at the moment.

Police spokesman T.J. Smith told The Sun, “A lot of young people knew him and looked up to him, and whatever he might’ve been doing in the past, it appears he was doing some things to change his life and use those experiences to help empower other young people in our city.”

Rappers such as Meek Mill, The Game, Shy Glizzy, & Yo Gotti all took to social media to pay their respects to the fallen rapper.
