Baton Rouge Rapper Kevin Gates Is Home Free From Jail

Kevin Gates was originally serving 5 months in a Florida prison after he was sentenced for kicking a woman in the chest in 2015 while on stage. The rapper explained his actions claiming she continually grabbed at his genitals while he was performing. The day he was suppose to be let out of prison, he was hit with an outstanding weapons warrant, which would cause him to receive a 30 month prison sentence, sending him right back to prison.

Now the Baton Rouge is fresh home on parole after serving 9 months in prison. According to the rapper’s attorney, Herschel Bush, Gates’ plans on sharing his stories of trial and tribulations to troubled teens to help scare them straight and keep them off the streets. He also plans on getting back to the music that many fans have been waiting on.

Since this rapper’s release his Instagram page has been fully cleaned out with one post being left with a message reading, “I’m him.”

Welcome home Kevin Gates.
