BWA Artist Yung Mazi Was Shot & Killed In Atlanta

Atlanta born & BWA affiliated rapper Yung Mazi was murdered in Atlanta on the night of August 6th.

It was highly publicized Mazi who’s popular for working with Baton Rouge artist Kevin Gates had been shot in the chest at a Waffle House. He was taken to Piedmont Hospital and fully recovered. Though, this wouldn’t be the first time the rapper would be shot. He would state on DJ Smallz Eyez when talking about his Physical Therapy release, “I been shot ten times, and I been going through physical therapy. I was just in a wheel chair.” Mazi would chalk up him being shot so many times to his expensive jewelry.

Yung Mazi was set to release a project titled Bulletproof which was influenced by attempts to take his life. He released a track titled Take My Life which was packaged with a music video on July 17. The video would include a clip of Mazi taunting his advisories stating, “Public service announcement motherf*ckas from my legs. My legs done had enough. So tell yo shooter start aiming for some sh*t that’s going to kill somebody.”

Rest In Peace to Yung Mazi. Our condolences go out to his family and the BWA team.
