Dame Dash Didn’t Want Any Involvements In Jay-Z & R Kelly Album Due To Kelly’s Allegations

It was in 2002 when Jay-Z and R Kelly came together to release a collaborative album titled The Best Of Both Worlds. The album would debut at #2 on the Billboard 200 selling 285,000 copies the first week. Though, it would receive some what poor reviews from critics the album was the first of it’s kind when it comes to collaborations between R&B singers and rappers.

Now in the midst of Surviving R Kelly the Chicago R&B star is the talk of the internet. Some new content surfaced on the Hip Hop Motivation Youtube channel with Kenyatta “The Hip Hop Motivator” and Dame Dash and the topic of discussion was none other than R Kelly. During the conversation Dame would break down why he was never apart of Jay-Z & R Kelly’s The Best Of Both World collab album. Dash would state, “If you remember The Best Of Both Worlds, you don’t see my name on that. I never wanted no parts of that.” Dash would reveal that he didn’t want his name on the project nor any profits from it because of what occurred between Aaliyah and Kelly  while the singer was underage. At the time that The Best Of Both Worlds was released Dash was in a relationship with Aaliyah so he felt the need to stand his ground and separate his self from the situation.
