DJ Drama Breaks His Silence On The Drake/Meek Mill Beef & Explains How He Got Involved

DJ Drama made an appearance this morning on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, while he was there Drama finally gave some insight on his involvement in the Drake – Meek Mill beef that took place during the Summer of 2015. “I’m gonna say this and then we’re gonna put it to rest,” he said, before explaining he was pulled in due to Meek Mill. “My involvement in the situation was that my man thought he was getting dissed,” he said, referencing the line on R.I.C.O. where Drake says “the girl of your dreams to me is probably not a challenge.”

Meek addressed the line previously via twitter fingers, saying he originally took the line as a sub at his relationship with Nicki Minaj.

Drama said that he explained to Meek, “He’s not dissing you – those weren’t technically his bars,” trying to diffuse the situation by saying Drake didn’t come up with the line. Meek then took that and ran with it, publicly leveling ghostwriting accusations against Drake and igniting their much documented feud. “I had a conversation with my man about something and from there it just blew out of proportion,” he stated.

He also shut down any allegations that he had anything to do with the leaked reference track, saying “Ask Flex where he got the records from, he didn’t get them from me. Go ask Meek where he got the records from, he didn’t get them from me.”
