It was in September of 2018 when Kim Kardashian West went to the White House to talk to President Donald Trump about criminal justice reform. Since the meeting the wife to Kanye West has managed to assist getting multiple prisoners released from prison. Now President Trump has passed the official criminal justice reform bill.
Though, he faced backlash from the meeting, Kanye West himself sat down with Donald Trump in October to speak on multiple things. While there he would further pitch prison reform prior to Trump passing the bill. Kanye would specifically speak on imprisoned Chicago OG, Larry Hoover, who is serving six life sentences.
Saturday morning Trump would take to Twitter to shout out Kanye for his support. Trump’s tweet would read, “Thank you to Kanye West for your nice words. riminal Justice Reform is now law – passed in a very bipartisan way!”
