It has been revealed that former Bad Boy artist, Craig Mack, known for his 1994 smash single Flava In Ya Ear, was pronounced dead at the age of 46 on Monday in his home of Walterboro, South Carolina.
According to reports the rapper’s cause of death would be heart failure. A good friend of Mack’s, Alvin Tony, who produced most of the rapper’s debut album Project: Funk Da World, would say, “God bless my friend. He was a good friend of mine.”
Tony would visit Mack at his home church of Overcomer Ministry to film a documentary about the former New York artist giving up rap fame to dedicate the rest of his left to his Christian faith.
“Nobody got to understand his story. I wanted the world to know the talent he had. It was something I wanted people to enjoy, but it was cut short because he was very religious and wanted to go to church,” Tony would state about Mack.
Mack would reveal to his close friend during his visit that he had been ill for some time and believed he would be living much longer. Rest in peace to Craig Mack and our condolences go out to his friends and family.
