Lil Uzi Vert Calls It Quits For Rap: I Deleted Everything I Wanna Be Normal

Lil Uzi Vert announced in early December of 2019 that he was done with his forthcoming album Eternal Atake. Now it seems the project may never see the light of day after the Philadelphia born rapper announced that he’s done with music.

Many would be shocked by the left field announcement that was revealed by Uzi via Instagram. “I wanna take the time out to say I think each and every one of my [supporters] but I’m done with music I deleted everything I wanna be normal,” he would write. “I wanna wake up in 2013.” He would end the post with, “You are free.”

If your familiar with Lil Uzi Vert you’re probably familiar with the back and forward he’s been going through with his label. Even on Uzi’s latest feature with DMV artist, Shabazz PBG, Shells he would rap, “Trying to figure out how I’m trying to get out my deal.” Only time will tell if Lil Uzi Vert’s decision will be permanent or if he’s trolling his label.
