Meek Mill being sent back to jail for a 2 to 4 year stretch has been surrounded by a lot of controversy, most surrounding Judge Genece Brinkle. Though, now more dirt has been swept from under the rug of justice, that could possibly be sending the Philadelphia rap star home early.
We have learned that the police officer who originally arrested Meek back in 2007, Officer Reginald Graham, was placed on a list of over two dozen corrupt Philly police officers. The list of corrupt officers all have a history of lying, racial bias, and/or brutality. During the 2007 arrest Meek was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and assaulting a police officer, which is why he’s currently on probation to date.
Now Meek’s lawyers are contending that Graham lied under oath. Now since the reveal of the list, the MMG rapper has been granted what is called a post conviction relied appearance in April. Meek’s lawyers went on to add that Graham’s testimony was contradicted in sworn statements by two other former Philly officers, Jeffery Walker and Gerold Gibson, who were both kicked off the force for corruption.
There could possibly be light at the end of the tunnel for Meek Mill, we’ll just have to wait and see.
