The shooting of Memphis rapper, Young Dolph, has been a hot topic online within the past week. The rapper was shot multiple times while standing outside of Shoe Palace in the Hollywood area of California after an alleged altercation occurred between his crew and Yo Gotti’s CMG affiliates.
Yo Gotti was initially a person of interest in connection to the shooting, but that would change when Corey McClendon who’s an affiliate of Gotti was arrested on Wednesday. Though, McClendon would be released from jail on Friday without charges.
After McClendon was released the Los Angeles district attorney office said prosecutors requested that the man be further investigated.
Greg Risling, who’s a spokesman for the Los Angeles District Attorney office would state, “Under California law, if you are arrested and booked and no charges are filed within 48 hours, you have to be released.” Risling further stated that police must gather further evidence on the case and then come back to decide whether charges will be filed or not.
