It has been revealed that the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida has charged Lil Wayne with possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. This stems from a December 2019 situation when the feds searched Lil Wayne’s private jet in Miami and found the weapon along with ammunition.

Back in December, Lil Wayne’s attorney, Howard Srebnick, commented on the situation, stating that the rapper was “cleared ” to leave the airport after the search, despite drugs and guns being found aboard.

Lil Wayne was in the news earlier today after 50 Cent’s comments in a recent Breakfast Club interview stating that he believed that Wayne was paid by the Trump administration to endorse Donald Trump.
