Lamont Murry was arrested in Memphis and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence for the murder of Waquel Richardson and his girlfriend Ashley Carter, the daughter of Three 6 Mafia member Crunchy Black.

The two were gunned down at the Fairview Inn and Suites on August 28, and surveillance footage revealed that the gunman was driving a gold Chevrolet Tahoe with a distinct rear bumper. Police tracked down the SUV on Monday (August 31), and the owner revealed that Murry was driving the vehicle on the day of the murder. The woman also revealed that Murry tried spray painting the rear of the vehicle to conceal the bumper.

Murry reportedly told investigators that the shooting was a gang retaliation for a double homicide on August 14.
