Back in November the feds charged Lil Wayne with firearm possession. The 38-year-old rapper flew to Miami with a gold Glock and when police searched his jet back in December 2019 it was found.
Today Lil Wayne plead guilty to the gun charges and is now awaiting sentencing. Wayne was only charged with the new firearm possession despite being caught with marijuana and other drugs on his jet. Lil Wayne already has a felony gun possession which he served a sentence for on RIkers Island back in 2010.
“Your honor, I plead guilty,” the rapper told U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams during a virtual hearing in Miami federal court. His sentencing will be on January 28th and he faces up to 10 years in prison. He remains free on a $250,000 bond.
